White water rafting in Queenstown is something that should definitely be on your New Zealand bucket list – the combination of adrenaline, water and stunning NZ scenery is the perfect day out!

Join the crew from Challenge Rafting to tackle the best white water rafting Queenstown has to offer – both the infamous Shotover River and the Kawaru River.

White water rafting on the Shotover River is by far the most popular option – tackle six rapids then raft through the darkness of the Oxenbridge Tunnel and shoot the Cascade Rapid to complete the challenge!

Kawaru River on the other hand is slightly more below and the perfect option for those who have never rafted before – the four rapids are exciting and the scenery is superb. Between rapids you will experience calmer stretches of river, with a unique perspective of the Kawarau Bungy Bridge as you pass underneath. The grand finale is the unforgettable Chinese Dog Leg Rapid to end your trip on the River.

Whichever option you go with white water rafting in Queenstown will certainly be one of the highlights of the South Island and your New Zealand travel plans!
