We’ve had a few questions about what this all means, so we thought we’d help explain what joining 1% For The Planet means…

What Does It Mean For Me – The Customer?

First off we’re happy to tell you that this doesn’t add anything to the price of any of our awesome travel adventures!

So don’t worry about that!

But it does mean every time you book anything on the site you can have a nice warm feeling inside knowing that as well as having an amazing adventure, you’ll also be helping make the planet a better place

…consider it a good bit of karma!

Who Are Sea Shepherd?

If you haven’t already heard of Sea Shepherd you should certainly check them out!

Set up by the co founder of Greenpeace, Captain Paul Watson wanted to create an organisation that upheld international law on the worlds oceans where governments has failed – even if that meant implementing more direct action into their campaigns.

From the dolphin slaughter in Japan to the whaling vessels in the Antarctic to shark finning in the Galapagos – Sea Shepherd have a huge variety of campaigns to save to the worlds oceans and raise awareness.

All the RTW crew have been long term supporters of Sea Shepherd and the amazing work they do across the globe, so when we joined 1% For The Planet we didn’t hesitate to nominate them for our contribution!
